We went in search of Retail’s Rising Star, and although he would call himself more of an all-rounder, Gabe Taogaga epitomises all that a rising star of retail is.
Working as a Sales Assistant for Fonterra Farm Source, in Carterton, Gabe loves working in the retail environment because of the contact he gets to have with people. While some may say “Retail is Detail.” Gabe maintains that there’s no more important detail in retail than people.
“…at the forefront of it all [retail] are your customers, and the great experience you can provide them,” says Taogaga

Winner of a recent Customer Experience Excellence award, voted by his colleagues, for the Central Districts Area, Taogaga knows what it takes to build new and lasting customer relationships.
“Gabe is incredibly engaged in wanting to do a good job for his customers,” says Regional Sales Manager, Anthony Spence. “he is doing it for the right reasons.”
Spence notes that the key to Taogaga’s success with customers has been his ability to uncover their needs, in order to provide them with a winning solution.
Taogaga also attributes his level of service and sales skill to the training he’s completed through RedSeed, and sees it as a very important part of his ongoing professional development.
